Masarykova chata on the top of Serlich

Worth seeing!

A unique place on the trails of the Orlické Mountains, just 19 minutes by car from All Season in Lasówka! It is an ideal idea for a hiking, cycling and car trip. Masarykova chata is a picturesquely situated mountain hut at an altitude of 1013 m above sea level. It is located on a vast clearing, right next to the Polish-Czech border. You will rest there and make yourself a unique stop on the route. A few hundred meters from the hut there is a lift, which will take you down to Zieleniec, and if you prefer a hike, you can go down the ski slope.

History of the hut

Masarykova chata is not only charming views and a convenient location. The hut has a rich history – built in 1925, it commemorates the 75th birthday of the first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Masaryk. Inside, you will find a unique atmosphere, with historic furnishings including a bust of President Masaryk, a sculpture of the spirit of the Orlické Mountains – Rampušák and a huge portrait of Masaryk, which add to the unique atmosphere of the place.

On the way on the trail

The chalet is located on many hiking trails – ideal for both summer and winter hikes. We recommend the blue trail from Tašov through Olešnice v Orlických horách and Šerlišský Mlýn to Zieleniec, the exact route of which can be found here. And the red trail leading to the highest peaks of the Orlické Mountains: Velka and Mala Deštna. You can plan it with the help of this map.You can also spend a night or two in the shelter during longer mountain hikes. It offers accommodation in 2-, 3-, 4-person rooms, and in three tourist rooms for 7, 10 and 13 people. You can eat here in a restaurant with typical Czech dishes and try authentic Czech beer. Experience an unforgettable day with Masarykova chata on the route!
